Your guide to swimming beaches, the ruins of Nagoya Castle, and other sightseeing spots in the vicinity of Hado-Misaki Campsite.
Broadly facing the Genkai Sea and chosen as one of Japan’s 100 best shores, enjoy this beach, ringed by a beautiful natural landscape. Nearby, food stalls grill and serve sazae in the shell.
A 15-minute walk from the campsite.
The only observation tower standing IN THE OCEAN in the Sea of Japan.
Connected to the land at Hado-Misaki via an 86-meter pier, the Observation Tower stands 20 meters tall, with a diameter of 10 meters.
Looking out in three directions from its ocean top deck, it provides a view of the islands of the Genkai Sea. With 24 undersea viewing windows (7 meters below the surface of the water), you can find up to 30 different species of fish swimming, as well as marine plants and shellfish in their natural habitats from the underwater observation room.
Because the ocean off of Hado-Misaki sits where the Japan and Tsushima currents mingle, you can see beautiful tropical fish.
